You
are sent into the jail, which is really a barn full of accused women.
You are thrown into a corner where everyone around you gives you a stare
as if you have just signed their death warrant. You might as well have
by saying
that you're guilty.
Day
after day goes by as you sit, watching person after person leave to
attend their trials, which is more likely their deaths. Month after
month pass and finally, the door opens and the guard announces that
everyone is released. As you breathe in your first take of freedom in
months, you think to yourself, what could have been if you said you
were innocent.
